With the popularity of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries in digital products, AAA batteries have gradually been eliminated, but some products continue to use AAA batteries. The abandonment of this battery is a very serious threat to the environment, and now there are new solutions.
Brother Industries Ltd from Japan has introduced a new battery-based Vibration-power Generating Battery (VpGB) that can replace AAA batteries. The battery has a built-in small vibration generator. The battery pack consists of a generator and a storage battery, which can provide electronic products with a power consumption of less than 100mW.
This product is expected to be used in low-power products such as TV remote controls and LED lighting equipment. The remote control using this battery can not replace the new battery until the remote control is eliminated or the generator is damaged. It only needs to shake a few times before use to generate enough power to replace the TV program.
The VpGB battery will be displayed at Techno-frontier 2010 in Tokyo from the 21st to the 23rd of this month. After that, it will first cooperate with the TV manufacturer to launch a TV product that “will never need to replace the remote control batteryâ€.
