The Xiaolan base investment project is a new factory-wide construction project consisting of: stamping, welding, painting, assembly and assembly departments, logistics and auxiliary departments, public power station buildings, and living service facilities. The newly-increased production facilities of the project are based on advanced technology, lean and efficient, and energy-saving and environmental protection. The major equipments such as stamping, welding, painting, and assembly are aimed at the advanced level of the same industry, and are selected for procurement in domestic and foreign markets through bidding.

According to preliminary statistics, the total investment of the Xiaolan base investment project is 2.13 billion yuan, all of which are self-raised funds, of which the engineering cost is 1.92 billion yuan and the current capital investment is 56.79 million yuan. The new Xiaolan base will produce Jiangling brand, Ford brand light passenger car, pickup series and SUV. It plans to produce 200,000 units in double classes, and the maximum annual production capacity can be expanded to 300,000 units.

Jiangling Motors expects that the capacity of the project will reach 77% of the designed capacity in the year after completion of the project, and 100% of the design capacity will be achieved in the second and subsequent years after completion. In the year of project implementation (the third year), the operating income will be 16.94 billion yuan and the total profit will be 1.372 billion yuan. It is expected that the project will be completed and put into production in the first half of 2013.
