Chinese shipbuilding industry will reduce demand for heavy machine tools in 2011

From January to December 2010, China's shipbuilding capacity was 65.6 million dwt, an increase of 54.6% year-on-year, of which seagoing vessels were 20.78 million corrected gross tons; new orders for ships were 75.23 million dwt, which was 2.9 new orders received in the same period of last year. Times, of which sea vessels were 22.9 million corrected gross tons.

As of the end of December, orders for hand-held vessels amounted to 195.9 million dwt, which represented a 4.1% increase over hand-held orders at the end of 2009, among which seagoing vessels accounted for 59.95 million corrected gross tons and export vessels accounted for 84.6% of the total.

As an important client of the machine tool, the ship supporting equipment (medium and low speed diesel engine, crankshaft, propeller, deck machinery, etc.) industry has made great progress during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, and many projects have been newly built and expanded. However, the funds for these projects have basically been put in place, and orders for key processing equipment for heavy-duty (including super heavy-duty) machine tools have been basically completed. Obviously, in 2011, orders for heavy-duty machine tools will be significantly reduced in the ship equipment industry, and there will be new demand for other types of machine tools.

A lens is a transmissive optical device that focuses or disperses a light beam by means of refraction. A simple lens consists of a single piece of transparent material, while a compound lens consists of several simple lenses (elements), usually arranged along a common axis. Lenses are made from materials such as glass or plastic, and are ground and polished or moulded to a desired shape
