A vacuum truck is a specialized vehicle equipped with a powerful vacuum system designed to pneumatically load solids, liquids, sludge, or slurry through suction lines typically ranging from 2-4 inches in diameter. The standard pump used in this industry is a rotary vane vacuum pump. These trucks can be configured with either a direct PTO/belt or PTO/hydraulic drive system.
