According to reports, due to the failure of LED taillights, Mercedes-Benz recently recalled 30,141 CLS-class cars in the United States.
Mercedes-Benz said that the vehicles involved in the recall include the 2015 CLS400, the 2012-2015 CLS550, the 2012-2013 CLS63 and the 2014-2015 CLS63P.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) document, LED taillights of recalled vehicles may cause insufficient brightness due to software failure, affecting the judgment of the rear vehicle on road conditions and increasing the risk of collision.
Mercedes-Benz said that as of now, the company has not received reports of accidents or casualties caused by the above-mentioned faults, and has notified the owner of the faulty vehicle to update the lighting control software.
