This weekend, we said a heartfelt goodbye to our current Truck 9, a 2007 KME AerialCat tower ladder, as it made its way to its new home with the City of Sterling Fire Department in Illinois. It's always bittersweet to see a trusted piece of equipment leave, but we're excited for it to serve another community. In the meantime, we're looking forward to receiving our brand-new Truck 9, which is currently on order. This one will be a Pierce Velocity aerial ladder truck, and we're hoping it arrives later this year. We can't wait to put it into service and continue protecting our residents with the same dedication and professionalism that define our department. #shakerroadfiredepartment #shakerroadfire #srlfddaily
