Rockdale is added to MABAS Division 15
We have added another department to the MABAS Division 15. The Rockdale Fire Protection District operates from a single station covering a three-square-mile area. Their fleet includes two fire engines, a tanker, a squad unit, a brush truck, and two support vehicles. The most recent engine is a custom 2008 Sutphen pumper with a top-mount design, which is supported by a 1994 FMC Omega pumper built on a Sentinel chassis. The cab and chassis were manufactured by Spartan, and while they resemble the classic Spartan RS style (round-steel), this particular unit was customized with unique trim packages and options tailored for the FMC private label.
