The Production Process of Stainless Steel Pipes in Our Factory:
Stainless steel pipes are manufactured through a series of precise and controlled steps to ensure high quality and performance. The process begins with the rolling and welding stage, where the stainless steel strip undergoes rigorous quality checks and trimming before being sent to the pipe factory. The strip is then passed through a series of rollers to shape it into the desired dimensions. As it moves through the tube mill, the strip gradually takes on a tubular form. The edges of the strip are then joined together using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, which ensures a strong and clean weld. Any excess material or internal weld beads are immediately removed using a Tibo machine, resulting in smooth, rolled tubing.
Following the welding process, the tubes go through a cleaning and heating phase. First, the rolled pipes are cut to the required lengths based on industrial specifications. They are then thoroughly cleaned to remove any dirt, oil, or contaminants that may have accumulated during the manufacturing process. After cleaning, the pipes undergo heat treatment in a continuous rolling hearth furnace equipped with temperature controllers and recorders. This step helps relieve internal stresses caused by welding and forming. Once heat-treated, the pipes are straightened and pickled to eliminate surface scale, ensuring a clean and uniform finish.
If the desired dimensions cannot be achieved directly from the rolling mill, a cold drawing process is employed. This involves applying a lubricant, typically a mixture of oxalic acid and soap, to the inner surface of the pipe to reduce friction. A die plug is used to pull the tube through a die, allowing for precise sizing and improved mechanical properties. Cold drawing not only enhances the dimensional accuracy but also improves the surface finish and strength of the final product.
The finishing process includes additional cleaning, heat treatment, pickling, and straightening to ensure the highest level of quality. Once these steps are complete, computerized inkjet marking machines are used to label the finished pipes with essential information such as material grade, size, furnace number, and third-party inspection stamps. These marked pipes are then handed over to the stainless steel pipe exporter. Before being packaged and shipped, each product undergoes thorough testing and quality inspections to meet industry standards. Stainless steel pipes are widely used across various industries, including construction, automotive, chemical, and food processing, due to their durability, corrosion resistance, and versatility. Overall, the production of stainless steel tubing is a complex and highly regulated process that demands precision, expertise, and strict quality control to deliver reliable and high-performance products.
