Working fire in Niles, 11-16-14

Last Sunday, we had a fire in a townhouse complex during a cold and snowy day. The fire appeared to have started in the basement, and by the time I arrived, it was mostly under control. I captured some photos of the response. We used the new Niles engine, the North Maine refurbished Pierce, and the soon-to-be-replaced Niles quint.

I took these photos during the incident, and they show the equipment that was deployed. It’s always interesting to see how different departments respond, especially in tough weather conditions. These images give a sense of the scale and effort involved in tackling such a fire.
