China Announces "Intelligent Transportation" Development Strategy

On July 31, 2012, China’s third intelligent transportation conference was opened in Beijing. The relevant person in charge of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Transport first analyzed the recently completed 2012-2020 intelligent transportation development strategy for the transportation industry.

Zhao Chongjiu, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Transport stated: “The Olympic Games in Beijing, the Asian Games in Guangzhou, and the Shanghai World Expo have made great progress in the development of intelligent transportation in our city thanks to the promotion of these major events. Traffic safety at major events."

According to Wang Xiaojing, chief engineer of the Institute of Highway Research of the Ministry of Transport, the key to the implementation of intelligent transportation is the collection of information: “Intelligent traffic must first collect our information, because our human vision and hearing are limited, relying on our Equipment depends on our facilities.
