Renault Zoe electric car promotion more price advantage

It is understood that Nissan’s partner, Renault Motors of France, plans to promote its latest Zoe electric vehicle sales to exceed the Nissan Leaf. Renault said that compared with the Nissan Leaf, Zoe Electric Vehicles has added a number of advanced technologies and has a greater price advantage.



Thierry Koskas, head of Renault’s electric vehicle program, explained that Zoe’s biggest selling point is its lower price and more advanced technology; moreover, the body design is more compact.

Another highlight of Renault Zoe is its cruising range. Zoe can travel up to 210km on one charge, while the wind is 175km. Renault said Nissan's speech in Europe introduced the people and that electric cars can do what mainstream cars can do.

Koskas showed that Zoe was launched to meet the large demand of the European market. France's selling price was only 15,700 euros (approximately RMB 128,000), which is basically the same as other markets in Western Europe. In contrast, the price of the Leaf was twice as high as it was in France, which sold for 30,990 euros (about 251,000 yuan). Renault hopes that Zoe will become the main model of its four major electric cars, with the other three including Fluence, Kangoo and Twizy. Renault shows that Zoe's annual production will reach 150,000.
