Last night, the Pink Heals Tour made a stop in Downers Grove, drawing attention from local residents and fire truck enthusiasts. Bill Friedrich was there to capture the moment with his camera, documenting the pink fire trucks that rolled through town.
One of the standout vehicles was "Anne Marie," a Thomas-Built bus that turned heads with its vibrant color and unique design. Another notable entry was "Karen," a 1989 Spartan/FMC 1500/500 from Capitol Heights VFD, Maryland. The tour also featured "Tonya," a 1988 E-One Hush 1500/500 from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and "Leslie," a 1991 E-One Hush 1250/500/40 from Tyler, Texas.
A special highlight was the Pink Heals Ribbon, which symbolized the event's mission of support and awareness. Karen was also seen towing the Pink Heals trailer, adding to the visual impact of the tour as it made its way through the community.
Bill Friedrich’s photos provided a great look at these iconic vehicles and the enthusiasm they generated among locals. It was a memorable evening for all who attended.
