A hole in one: Nationwide Coils helps make MCASF’s 46th annual golf outing a success.

Looking back on 2020, there were certainly some unexpected lessons we took away—like how much we value the little things, like spending time with loved ones and colleagues. That’s why this year’s MCASF annual golf outing felt extra special. Even though it was our fifth year sponsoring the event, after months of virtual meetings and social distancing, we were thrilled to finally reconnect in person.

The tournament took place on December 14, 2020, at the beautiful Weston Hills Country Club in Weston, Florida. We were joined by around 140 industry professionals from the commercial HVAC sector. As usual, Nationwide Coils stepped up as a diamond-level sponsor—the highest level of support—for the event. It’s an honor to contribute to such a well-established tradition in our community.

Of course, the event wasn’t without its challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. Safety was top priority, so guests had their temperatures checked upon arrival, hand sanitizers were placed throughout the venue, and everyone followed social distancing guidelines. These precautions ensured that everyone could enjoy the day while staying safe.

Lunchtime presented another logistical puzzle. The MCASF team did an excellent job organizing the “Joes vs. Pros” challenge by staggering playing and dining schedules. This way, no large groups gathered in one area. For those who preferred to eat indoors, the Grill Room was available with strict adherence to safety protocols. For anyone feeling more comfortable eating outside, boxed lunches were also provided as an alternative.

And, as always, there were plenty of goodies in the gift bags—custom Nationwide Coils-branded golf towels, raffle prizes, snacks, golf balls, and more. It added a touch of personalization that everyone appreciated.

Stephen Barzelatto, our Vice President, had a fantastic time participating in the event. He remarked, “It was wonderful to connect with colleagues again, both socially and professionally. We’re grateful for the chance to support MCASF once more and can’t wait for next year’s outing.”
