Analysis of Causes for Pointer Jitter of Metal Tube Float Flowmeter

When the measured medium flows through the measuring tube from the bottom to the top of the metal tube floater flowmeter, differential pressure is generated at the upper and lower ends of the floater to form a rising force. When the floater is subjected to a greater lifting force than the floater immersed in the fluid, the floater rises and the annulus area increases. The fluid velocity in the annulus decreases rapidly, the fluid pressure at the annulus decreases rapidly, the differential pressure at the upper and lower ends of the float decreases, and the lifting force acting on the float decreases. Until the rising force and the weight of the float immersed in the fluid balance, the float is stabilized at the first position. The position of the float corresponds to the size of the measured medium flow. The float is equipped with magnetic steel. When the float moves up and down with the medium, the magnetic field changes with the movement of the float. A magnetic sensor converts magnetic field changes into electrical signals, through analog-to-digital conversion, digital filtering, temperature compensation, microprocessor processing, digital-to-analog conversion, liquid crystal display, and switch control output, to display instantaneous flow and cumulative flow and to control.

First, the metal tube float flow meter pointer jitter:

   1. Metal tube float meter pointer slight jitter: generally caused by medium fluctuations. It can be overcome by adding damping.

   2. Pointer moderate jitter: generally caused by the medium flow state. For the gas is generally caused by the media operating pressure instability. Regulators or steady flow devices can be used to overcome or increase the air damping of the float flowmeter.

   3. Vibrating hands violently: Mainly due to pulsation of medium, unstable air pressure, or pressure, temperature, and flow rate given by the user in the gas operation state, which is inconsistent with the actual state of the metal tube floater flowmeter, and there is a big difference in the over-range of the floater flowmeter.

   Second, the metal tube float flow meter pointer stuck

   Metal pipe floater flowmeter pointer stuck, probably because the first time the metal pipe float meter used to open the valve is too fast, so that the float quickly hit the stopper, causing the stopper to deform and stuck the floater. However, it is not ruled out that the float is stuck due to the misalignment of the float guide rod and the stop ring. The instrument can be removed when processing, remove the deformed stopper, and check if it is concentric with the guide rod. If it is different, correct it, then install the floater, push the floater, and feel the float up and down smoothly. In addition, when installing the metal tube float flowmeter, it must be installed vertically or horizontally, and it cannot be tilted, otherwise it will easily cause the card table and bring errors to the measurement.
