According to CBS Chicago, Fire Commissioner Robert Hoff has decided to step down from his position:
CHICAGO (CBS) – Mayor Rahm Emanuel is set to lose his first major cabinet member. CBS 2’s Chief Correspondent, Jay Levine, recently reported that Fire Commissioner Robert Hoff has officially resigned.
Hoff, who served under the previous Daley administration, reportedly handed in his resignation on Wednesday. He will be succeeded by former Office of Emergency Management and Communications director, Jose Santiago, who had previously left the city during Emanuel’s early tenure due to issues surrounding the Groundhog Day blizzard last year.
