Quzhou Gulei Petrochemical Startup Project Commenced

Recently, the Gulei Petrochemical start-up project was formally started in the Guleigang Economic Development Zone, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, marking the beginning of a substantial development stage for the Quzhou Gulei Petrochemical Park.
The Gulei petrochemical start-up project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission on March 23 this year and included in the national petrochemical industry adjustment and rejuvenation plan.
The project includes two projects of annual output of 800,000 tons of paraxylene and Xianglu Petrochemical (Zhangzhou) Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 1.5 million tons of refined terephthalic acid, with a total investment of approximately 18.8 billion yuan. Among them, the total investment for the paraxylene project is about 13.8 billion yuan. The construction includes the main p-xylene plant, thermal power plants and supporting docks; the total investment of the refined terephthalic acid project is about 5 billion yuan, mainly to build the terephthalic acid product process equipment and For public works such as water treatment and sewage treatment, and auxiliary production facilities, the two project public works will be integrated.
It is reported that the project is planned to be trial production in the first quarter of 2011.
