Fanuc Robotics Worldwide Sells 400,000 Records

“In the past few years, the global demand for implementing the latest technology in factories has been growing,” said Mike Cicco, vice chairman of the FANUC USA subsidiary. “This demand has stimulated the production of industrial robots and it is FANUC's achievement of this milestone. An important factor in maintaining the position of the world's first provider of factory automation and industrial robots."

"From a product point of view, the driving force behind this milestone is the popularity of the FANUC R-2000iC series robots, LRMate200iD series robots, and the new CR-35iA collaborative robot."

The R-2000iC is a family of industrial robots that includes pedestal and rack version robots specifically designed for material handling and welding applications.

The LRMate200iD family of small robots is an economical, universal solution that can be used in a wide range of manufacturing operations that require access to tight spaces. This series of robots has six-axis joints and is extremely fast. The effective wrist load is 4 to 7 kilograms. It is an ideal substitute for horizontal articulated robots for assembly applications.

The new CR-35iA robot is the first collaborative robot in the industry to reach a 35 kilogram payload capacity and can safely operate in close proximity to humans without a safety fence. The CR-35iA robot can perform tasks that require a lot of physical exertion, helping manufacturers solve the ergonomic problem.

FANUC USA, a leading provider of robots, CNC machine tools and factory automation, announced that its parent company FANUC’s robot production has reached a new world record of 400,000 units.

“Our robots set a world record and we are very proud of this.” Fanuc vice chairman Cicco added, “FANUC is committed to developing innovative automation products that bring customers the highest level of quality, productivity and value. ."

Brake levers are usually mounted on the handlebars within easy reach of the rider's hands. They may be distinct from or integrated into the shifting mechanism. The brake lever transmits the force applied by the rider through either a mechanical or hydraulic mechanism.

Bicycles with drop handlebars may have more than one brake lever for each brake to facilitate braking from multiple hand positions. Levers that allow the rider to work the brakes from the tops of the bars, introduced in the '70s, are called extension levers, safety levers or, for their reputation for being unable to actuate the full range of travel of the main brake lever, suicide levers. Modern top-mounted brake levers, called interrupt brake levers, use an entirely different method of actuation and are considered safer.

The mechanical advantage of the brake lever must be matched to the brake it is connected to in order for the rider to have sufficient leverage and travel to actuate the brake. Using mismatched brakes and levers could result in too much mechanical advantage and hence not enough travel to properly actuate the brake (v-brakes with conventional levers) or too little mechanical advantage, requiring a very strong pull to apply the brakes hard (v-brake levers with other types of brake).
