On October 18–20, 2007, a significant academic conference was held at Nanjing Hehai University, bringing together experts and professionals in the field of water resources and hydropower development. In recent years, as China's economy has continued to grow rapidly, there has been a renewed surge in the construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects. In response to this evolving landscape, Sakai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. introduced the world’s first vertical vibratory compactor—the SD451—designed specifically for Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) dam construction.
