There's an exciting dance video making waves online: four intelligent robots, resembling "Transformers," move to popular music, performing a mix of jumps, flips, and dramatic falls. Their energetic and seemingly effortful dance routines have captivated viewers, leaving them in awe.
These robotic performers were created by a team of computer experts and students from Harbin Institute of Technology. They gained widespread attention at the International Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen, China, where they showcased their impressive capabilities.
Hong Bingrong, the director of the Center for Intelligent Robotics Research at Harbin Institute of Technology, explained that each robot stands about 35 centimeters tall and is equipped with 16 movable joints. Weighing around 2 kilograms, these little machines are packed with more than 600 mechanical components. Beyond dancing, they can also perform complex gymnastic moves, demonstrating remarkable agility and precision.
According to Hong, the robots developed by the center have already won 11 world championships in the "Robot Soccer World Cup," highlighting their advanced intelligence and technical excellence. This achievement not only showcases the team's innovation but also points to the growing potential of robotics in entertainment and beyond. With such progress, it's clear that the future of robotics is not just functional — it's entertaining, dynamic, and full of surprises.
