Wang Xiaotao said that at present, China's equipment "going out" and international cooperation in production capacity are in the initial stage and the development is strong. In 2014, China's equipment manufacturing industry exported 2.1 trillion yuan, accounting for 17% of all products' export revenue. The export of large-scale complete sets of equipment such as power, communications, petrochemical, mining, metallurgy and aviation grew rapidly.
Wang Xiaotao said that the next step of the Development and Reform Commission will focus on the following tasks: First, promote the "going out" of railways and nuclear power, vigorously develop the international market for major equipment such as railways and nuclear power, integrate industry resources, and innovate the mode of foreign cooperation. . Second, continue to promote the export of superior equipment, and promote the export of complete sets of equipment such as communications, electric power, engineering machinery and ships through foreign engineering contracting and foreign investment. Third, carry out international cooperation in production capacity, focusing on industries such as steel, nonferrous metals, building materials and textiles, and aiming at the needs of the international market, supporting enterprises to use domestic equipment to build upstream and downstream supporting production lines overseas. Fourth, improve supporting policies, expand channels for the use of foreign exchange reserves, support enterprises to raise funds for stocks and bonds at home and abroad, and play the role of policy-based financial instruments.
Regarding the “going out” of the Chinese high-speed railway, which is widely concerned by the public, Wang Xiaotao said that at present, China’s railway equipment has been exported to more than 80 countries and regions; in 2014, the export volume of railway locomotives was about 4 billion US dollars, accounting for 10% of the global market share; The total length of railway lines that Chinese companies have participated in abroad is more than 10,000 kilometers.
